The Andean Lakes Crossing is the most scenic way to travel from Argentina to Chile. This spectacular crossing of the Andes takes you through lakes and mountain passes that can either be made from Bariloche ( Argentina ) to Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt ( Chile ) or from Puerto Montt - Puerto Varas to Bariloche. Operates all year round. On the cross from Bariloche to Puerto Varas, you can sleep overnight in Peulla. The crossing includes three lakes: the Nahuel Huapi, Fria and Todos los Santos.


Day 1 PUERTO VARAS -PETROHUE - PEULLA

08:30 am Departure from Puerto Varas to Petrohué, bordering Lake LLanquihue with a fantastic view of the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Visit the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park which features the Petrohué Falls.
10:30 am Arrival at Petrohué. Free time to stroll around.
11:00 am Departure to Peulla, sailing through Lake Todos Los Santos enjoying an even more spectular view of the Osorno Volcano and the Puntiagudo and Tronador Peaks.
13:00 pm Arrival at Peulla, an ecological town, paradise for nature lovers. Optional lunch. Lodging in Peulla.


Day 2 PEULLA - PUERTO BLEST - BARILOCHE


9:00 am Departure by bus to Puerto Frías, Chilean customs control. Cross the Andes Mountain range at approx. 976 meters above sea level and continue down the winding road that leads to Puerto Frías. Cruise on Lake Frías to Puerto Alegre.
11:30 am
Arrival at Puerto Blest. Visit to the Cántaros Falls. Optional lunch.
16:30 pm
Departure from Puerto Blest on the last cruise to Puerto Pañuelo.
Upon arrival, board the bus that will take you on the last stretch to Bariloche, Argentina, a city that beckons tourists all year round with its wide variety of ski resorts, shops, hotels, restaurants and entertaining nightlife.
18:30 pm Arrival at Bariloche.

Does not include entrance fee to the National Park.

Due to Argentine and Chilean Customs regulations, passengers who book the lakes crossing must be duly identified with their complete information, which needs to be processed 7 days prior to the passengers’ arrival at the latest.

Entering Chile through Santiago by International Airport Arturo Merino Benítez, a per person reciprocity fee is charged to : U.S. citizens who pay USD 100; Canadian citizens, USD 55 ; Australian citizens, USD 34; Mexican citizens, USD 15.
Passengers taking the Lakes Crossing beginning in Bariloche, enter Chile at the Peulla border where this reciprocity fee is not charged.
