LOCATION
The island is located between parallels 33º 36´92´´ and 33º 47`92`` , covers an area of 9,572 hectares, and is 667 kilometers or 400 miles west from Valparaiso. The archipelago is made up of the islands Robinson Crusoe (93 sq km or 33 sq mi), Alexander Selkirk (33 sq mi, 100 mi to the west) and the islet of Santa Clara. With 650 inhabitants, the island administratively belongs to the province of Valparaiso, Chile.

From sea level to 1,650 meters altitude of the Innocent Hills in the island of Alexander Selkirk.
CLIMATE
Maritime climate, with a 75.5% of relative humidity. The average temperature is 15,4 Celsius and an annual rainfall of 1.1812 millimeters. Rainfall decreases between the months of October and February.
